Public Transport of Curitiba

The public transportation system of Curitiba is known in Brazil and internationally as a synonym of efficiency and inovation. It was implemented in the 1970s, seeking low operating costs and high quality.

This system includes exclusive channels for bi-articulates buses (270 passengers capacity) that links big terminals in every district of the city. With one ticket only, you can travel the whole city, switching stations or terminals.

The system is composed of 27 terminals, 351 tube stations (which allow rapid loading and unloading) and a big fleet of different kinds of buses (each kind has a different purpose).
