The Jerusalem Fountain

The Jesurasém Fountain was inaugurated on December 22, 1995 in Curitiba with the presence of the then-Jerusalem mayor Ehud Olmert and the then governor of Paraná Jaime Lerner.

It is a tribute to the 3,000 years of Jerusalem. The construction of masonry and concrete is 14.5 meters high and was designed by architect Fernando Canalli. At the top of the fountain there are three bronze angels, with about 600 pounds each, carved by the artist Lys Buzzi, representing the three major monotheistic religions of the world that believe in the existence of angels and for which Jerusalem is a sacred city: Christianity , Judaism and Islam. The fountain is placed at the end of Avenida Sete de Setembro.
On two sides of the base , we can find two psalms:

Psalm 122
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure.
7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels."
8 For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be within you."
9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.

Psalm 127
1 Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.
