Catedral Basílica de Curitiba

Located where Curitiba was born as a city, the Tiradentes Square, The Catedral Basílica was originally a small wooden chapel, which in 1715 was elevated to the First Church.

In 1860, during the lifting of the towers, the building had cracks which led to its complete demolition in 1875.

The inauguration of the current church took place in 1893, built in Gothic style inspired by Barcelona Cathedral.
